Trading on Behalf
Outsource the intraday trading of your portfolios
StackEase can generate additional revenue for you by monetizing your assets on the continuous intraday market. To do this, you need EPEX or NORDPOOL access and the ability to adjust your battery dispatch schedule on an intraday basis.
Trading on your behalf can apply to all or part of your portfolio, within a financial exposure that you define in advance. You can see the orders placed by StackEase, but StackEase cannot see the orders you have placed.
Financial flows are deposited directly by NEMO into your account without going through StackEase, including for net energy. We can set up a simulation of intraday transactions on your assets using shadow trading to assess the additional revenue that StackEase would generate.
Solution Integration
Trading on behalf works on systems that can be continuously reprogrammed on an intraday basis. Take, for example, a battery that plans to participate in system services from 12:00 AM to 11:59 AM and then from 8:00 PM to 11:59 PM. It has the time slot from 12:00 PM to 7:59 PM to participate in intraday trading, in addition to any planned purchases or sales on the day-ahead market. StackEase will execute intraday transactions and update the dispatch schedule up to 1 hour before the start of the product (e.g., up to 3:00 PM for the 4:00 PM product). You will then need to communicate this new dispatch schedule to the grid operators and program the battery’s charging/discharging accordingly.
FAQ
Yes, you have access to the StackEase order book, and StackEase does not have access to your order book
StackEase transactions affect your portfolio, so you are exposed to the amount of the financial collateral posted with EPEX or NORDPOOL for these transactions. You are not liable in the event of StackEase’s non-compliance with REMIT obligations, as the order books are separate.
StackEase has historical shadow-trading data for various types of batteries, which can be shared during negotiations.
Day-ahead operations for the following day—such as choosing to participate in the FCR, the aFRR, or day-ahead trading—are not affected. However, it is not possible to conduct intraday trading on the portfolio delegated to StackEase. You will also need to reschedule the battery for intraday trading to avoid being exposed to price differences.
